For the second consecutive year, we are launching the international category of Los Creadores in Peru, Colombia, and Argentina to discover digital talent among school students. More than 600 creative-minded children and young people participated in the bootcamps we held in these countries.
Given the importance of children and adolescents developing digital skills for innovation, understanding, and creativity—not just for the consumption of technology—we have officially launched Los Creadores 2024 in partnership with the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations of Peru (MIMP), Fundación Carvajal (Colombia), and the Municipality of Córdoba (Argentina). This award empowers young people as creators of technological solutions with social impact.
“To reduce the digital divide in the region, we must equip future generations with the knowledge and skills necessary for the 21st century, such as innovation, curiosity, and creative thinking for solving local or global problems,” said Claudia Jaña Z., Manager of Education and Future Work at Fundación Kodea.
Since its inception in Chile seven years ago and its expansion to Peru, Colombia, and Argentina, more than 8,000 young people have participated in Los Creadores, presenting over 1,800 projects. Of these, 79% come from vulnerable schools, and female participation has been 51% since 2019.

“Los Creadores marked a before and after in our project and our lives. From the first day in Santiago, we felt warm hospitality and excitement. We learned a lot from the workshops and experts, and it was enriching to form bonds with other committed students and teachers,” said María Fernanda Jamanca, a member of the winning team from Peru.
“It was a wonderful experience. The girls had never flown on a plane before, and we were featured in many media outlets—it was impressive. Getting to know Chile, meeting young people from other schools, other countries, and different realities was very novel. We were amazed at how they work with technology, and it was certainly something very stimulating for the girls regarding their future,” said Bruno Ricci, teacher and mentor of the winning team from Argentina.
“One of the greatest and most beautiful lessons we learned from this experience in Los Creadores is based on cooperation and collaborative work, two elements that are fundamental for creating projects with social impact like this one. Moreover, when you work for a purpose that is close to you and understand the impact of what you are doing, the path to achieving it becomes much clearer,” said Brayam Guzmán, a member of the winning team from Colombia.
